Texan Trash Dip

Instructions:

Preheat Oven:
Set oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Creamy Base:
In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning. Spread evenly in a baking dish (9×9 or round deep dish).

Cook Meat:
Brown the ground beef/turkey in a skillet, drain excess fat. Add refried beans, Rotel, green chiles, and optional onions. Cook until combined and heated through.

Assemble Layers:

Spread meat and bean mixture over the cream cheese base.

Sprinkle shredded cheese generously on top.

Bake:
Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until hot and bubbly.

Top It Off:
Garnish with fresh diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, green onions, and/or peppers.

Serve:
Hot with sturdy tortilla chips!
