Ingredients:

For the Red Enchilada Sauce:

3 tbsp vegetable oil

2 tbsp flour

3 tbsp chili powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp ground cumin

1/4 tsp dried oregano

2 cups beef broth

Salt to taste

For the Burgers:

1 lb ground beef (80/20)

Salt & pepper to season

4 slices cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese

2 brioche or telera buns

Butter for toasting

2 tbsp mayo or Mexican crema

2 tbsp chopped green onions or chives

Optional: pickled jalapeños or sautéed onions
