Ingredients:

The Shredded Beef (Deshebrada):

2-3 lb chuck roast or brisket

1/2 white onion

4 cloves garlic

2 bay leaves

2 tbsp vegetable oil (for searing)

1/2 cup red chili sauce or mild salsa

Salt and pepper to taste

The Red Rice (Arroz Rojo):

1 cup long-grain white rice

2 Roma tomatoes

1/4 white onion

1 clove garlic

2 cups chicken broth

2 tbsp vegetable oil

The Beans & Sides:

2 cups cooked pinto beans (whole, in their broth)

Large flour tortillas
