Green Chile & Cheese Hamburger Empanadas

 Instructions:

1. Make the Filling:
Brown the ground beef with onion, season with salt, pepper, and cumin. Stir in beans and green chiles. Cook for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat. Let it cool slightly and mix in the shredded cheese.

2. Fill the Empanadas:
Place 1–2 tablespoons of filling in the center of each dough round. Fold over, press edges with a fork to seal. Brush with egg wash.

3. Bake or Fry:

Bake: 400°F (200°C) for 18–20 minutes until golden.

Fry: 350°F (175°C) oil for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.

4. Serve Hot:
Plate with rice, lettuce, and salsa—or just enjoy them handheld with your favorite dipping sauce!
