👨‍🍳 Instructions:

Step 1: Make the Dough

In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.

Add egg and cold water gradually until dough forms. Knead lightly, wrap, and chill for 30 mins.

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix chopped chiles, cheese, garlic powder, cumin, and seasonings. Add optional chorizo if using.

Step 3: Assemble Empanadas

Roll dough and cut into 5-inch circles. Place 1–2 tablespoons of filling in the center of each.

Fold over, crimp edges with a fork. Brush tops with egg wash.

Step 4: Cook

Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 18–22 minutes until golden.
OR Air fry at 375°F for 10–12 minutes.
OR Pan fry in a little oil until crispy and browned on both sides.
