Ingredients (Serves 6-8)

For the Dip:

1 lb (450g) ground beef or chorizo (optional, for a heartier dip)

1 small onion, finely diced

2-3 jalapeños, seeded and finely diced (adjust for heat)

1 garlic clove, minced

1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chiles (like Rotel)

1 lb (450g) processed cheese (like Velveeta), cubed

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 tsp ground cumin

1/2 tsp chili powder

1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)
