Southern-Style Pot Roast with Potatoes & Carrots

Sear Roast: In a hot pot or Dutch oven, sear the roast in oil on all sides until browned.

Add Flavor: Toss in onions, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire, and beef broth.

Slow Cook: Cover and simmer for 2.5–3 hours or until fork-tender.

Add Veggies: Toss in carrots and potatoes. Cook another 45 mins.

Gravy Time: Stir in the gravy mix + flour/cornstarch slurry to thicken.

Serve hot over rice or cornbread if you want to be extra Southern with it! 🍴

🧀 Southern Baked Mac & Cheese (Golden Crown Style)

Ingredients:

2 cups elbow macaroni (cooked)

1 egg + 1 1/2 cups milk

2 cups shredded cheddar

1/2 cup mozzarella

1/2 cup Colby Jack

1/2 stick butter

1 tsp garlic powder + paprika for topping

Instructions:

Mix hot pasta with butter, cheese, egg, and milk.

Pour into a greased baking pan.

Top with more cheese and sprinkle of paprika.

Bake at 375°F for 30–35 mins until golden.

Tender Southern Green Beans

Ingredients:

1 lb green beans (canned or fresh)

1/2 onion (sliced)

3 slices bacon or ham hock

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper

1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions:

Cook bacon in a pot. Add onions until softened.

Toss in green beans, seasoning, and broth.

Simmer on low for 30 mins until all the flavor soaks in.
