Mexican Picadillo with fideo and beans

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

3 medium potatoes (peeled and diced)

1/2 small onion (chopped)

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1/2 bell pepper (chopped, optional)

2 medium tomatoes (blended or 1/2 cup tomato sauce)

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp vegetable oil

1 cup water or beef broth

For Fideo :

Ingredients:

1 cup fideo pasta

2 tbsp vegetable oil

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1/4 small onion (chopped)

2 cups chicken broth or water

1/2 cup tomato sauce or 1 blended tomato

Salt to taste

For Refried Beans :

2 cups cooked pinto beans (or 1 can of beans, drained)

2 tbsp lard or vegetable oil

1/4 small onion (chopped)

Salt to taste
