Blend with garlic, onion, cumin, salt, and pork broth until smooth. Strain sauce.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1328\" data-end=\"1396\">Mix the sauce with shredded pork. Simmer together for 10\u201315 minutes.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1398\" data-end=\"1427\">3. <strong data-start=\"1406\" data-end=\"1427\">Prepare the Masa:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1428\" data-end=\"1618\">In a large bowl, beat lard until fluffy. In a separate bowl, mix masa harina, salt, and baking powder. Add 1 tbsp pork filling. Fold sides over, then bottom up.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1847\" data-end=\"1865\">5. <strong data-start=\"1855\" data-end=\"1865\">Steam:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1866\" data-end=\"2015\">Place tamales standing upright in a steamer with open ends up. Steam for 1.5 to 2 hours.
