center;\">11\/2 lb lean ground beef<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 (8oz) can chili sauce<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00be teaspoon crushed cumin seeds or ground cumin<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 teaspoon garlic powder<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00bc teaspoon red pepper flakes<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00bd teaspoon salt<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2 (approx.15 oz) cans pinto beans, drained<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">6 pieces Navajo fry bread (recipe below)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2-3 cups shredded lettuce<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2-3 cups shredded cheddar cheese<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2 large tomatoes cut into wedges<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 large green chile, diced<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Shortening for deep frying (for fry bread)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">3 cups flour (for fry bread)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00bd teaspoon salt (for fry bread)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">3 teaspoons baking powder (for fry bread)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00be cups milk (for fry bread)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00bd cup water or more, enough for dough to form a ball (for fry bread)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>TURN TO THE NEXT center;\">Directions:<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In a large skillet, saut\u00e9 onion in olive oil until golden brown.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Add beef and brown.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Add chili sauce, cumin, garlic powder, red pepper flakes and salt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Prepare Fry Bread (Directions Below).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In a mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Add milk and enough water to form a dough ball, stirring constantly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Cover and let rest for about 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">When ready to cook, in a large skillet, heat 2-3 inches of shortening to 380 degrees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Pinch off 6 equal size pieces of dough and, on a floured surface, roll each out about 7 inches (the size of a small dinner plate.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Carefully drop into hot oil and fry on one side until golden brown, about 1 minute.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">With tongs, carefully turn bread over and cook until golden brown about 45 seconds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Drain on paper towel and repeat process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Gently stir beans into meat mixture to and heat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Assemble Tacos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Spread meat mixture over top of fry bread.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Top with lettuce, cheese, tomato wedges and green chile.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Enjoy
