Ingredients:

For the meat

2 cups masa harina, plus more as needed

1 teaspoon fine salt

1 ½ cups water, plus more as needed

Vegetable oil, for frying (optional)

Refried beans, warmed

Salsa roja or your favorite hot sauce

Salsa verde or guacamole salsa

Diced avocados

Crumbled cotija cheese or queso fresco
