1 lb beef flank or chuck, thinly sliced
6 slices of bacon, chopped

4 cups beef broth
1 cup pinto beans, cooked (or canned, rinsed and drained)

1 jalapeño or serrano pepper (adjust for spice preference)
1/2 cup fresh cilantro
1/2 onion
2 cups water
Salt to taste
