Dough
1/4 packet yeast
1/2 warm water
1/2 cup scalded milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup crisco or butter
1 tsp salt
1 egg
3.5 to 4 cups all purpose flour
Topping
1/2 cup butter softened
2/3 cup sugar
1tsp vanilla
1 cup All purpose flour
Cocoa powder (for chocolate topping add until the color want is achieved)
food coloring was added to my vanilla flavored conchas. For white topping omit the food coloring.
